CHA
Shared Services Program
The CHA Shared Services Program (CHA SSP) is a regional Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) with members in Connecticut and throughout New England. CHA SSP provides members with access to contracts for various products and services at discounted prices through group buying power.
The CHA Shared Services Program's affiliations with other groups gives CHA SSP members access to contract pricing that is competitive with national GPO pricing. At the same time, CHA SSP's local focus offers the ability to provide superior customer service, maintain close contact with members, and respond quickly to member needs. Many contracts are with local and/or alternative vendors not included in the portfolios of national Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs).
CHA's Shared Services Program is open to members at no charge, and offers members a cost-saving alternative to the national GPOs. All 30 of CHA's acute care hospital members utilize the CHA Shared Services Program.
The CHA Shared Services Program serves hospitals, long term care facilities, clinics, and physician groups as well as other healthcare and educational providers. The CHA Shared Services Program offers a portfolio of over 350 contracts for various products and services in spending categories which include: Capital Equipment; Medical/Surgical; Laboratory; Food Services; Pharmacy; Radiology; Professional Services; and Facilities. CHA SSP's voluntary compliance program offers members the flexibility and freedom to select only those contracts or programs that meet their specific needs.
