| Certificate
of Need (CON)
Consistent
oversight by the Office of Health Care Access (OHCA) of non-hospital
facilities, such as outpatient surgical centers, imaging centers,
and other healthcare facilities helps to ensure a uniform
standard of quality, and is essential to creating a "level
playing field" for the development and implementation of healthcare
services in Connecticut. CHA supports equitable and uniform
application of Certificate of Need (CON) requirements to ensure
fairness, patient safety, and access to high quality care.
